Where we get to work; remanufacturing and developing
Telasys’ ESD compliant test and development facility provides unprecedented capacity offering the ability to test 10G and even 100G circuits on an extensive and ever growing range of platforms from the likes of Cisco, Juniper, HP, Alcatel, Nokia, Ericsson, Ciena and many more global manufacturers.
Within our own purpose built 2000 sq ft facility we undertake a variety of specialist procedures, testing and screening products to ensure complete OEM conformity is met by means of specification and operational functionality. This provides continued reassurance to our clients that no unforeseen issues delay deployment as even minor compatibility issues are flagged by certified engineers and resolved before dispatch.

Refurbishment procedure
A comprehensive overview of our 9-step remanufacturing process
Visual and physical Inspection phase
Every area of the product is carefully inspected for visual defects. Inspections will vary depending on the product, but the most common areas of interest would be chassis cases and faceplates, mounting brackets, backplanes, board jumpers, port interfaces, connectors, mounting bezels and heatsinks. Upon completion, only products of the highest standard continue in the refurbishment process.
Refresh and cleaning
Here we clean any dust, debris and cleanse the unit of its previous owner, removing reference stamps such as router hostnames, customer and location. In some cases minor cosmetic defects are resolved, replacing chassis cases, buttons, screens, cords and other clasps or fastenings.
Zeroization
The zeroization process is key to protecting the interests of our client by removing sensitive configuration and startup data such as passwords and route tabling lookups stored on routers, switches, routing engines and other equipment.
DoD 5220.22-M data erase
When it comes to HDD, SSD and other means of storage device such as flash we don’t take any risks and prioritise client’s security by erasing data in compliance with NISP and department of defence DoD 5520.22-M standards.
Testing and screening
This critical phase checks the physical operation of the hardware and operating system, stress testing and flagging any possible compatibility issue’s.

Carry out full performance test / stress test
Monitor unit statistics, alarm errors and system logs
Full functionality test; controls, voice, display and outputs
Physically check all unit LED’s, switches, buttons and display
Physical check of operating temperature
Configuration
If required Telasys can pre-configure your equipment, loading initial configuration or preferred operating system, bringing you online faster when you arrive at the site.
Quality control
All phases of the remanufacturing process are checked, along with final visual inspection ensuring all aspects of the procedure have been carried out to the highest standard.
Repacked
Telasys finishes by repacking the goods like new, in Telasys branded, ESD compliant packing. Custom labelling referencing sales order or PO number, HECI or other criteria are available on request to best suit your stores process.
